Rooted in Wisdom:
The Clay Harper Story

DSC_9377.JPEG

Clay Harper's journey with horses began at age two, riding in the saddle with his mother—a connection that has remained magical throughout his 70+ years. Being with horses has always brought him closer to peace and divinity than anything else in this world.

From rodeo cowboy riding bareback broncs in his teens and 20's to working Wyoming ranches under the guidance of seasoned cowboys, horses have been Harper's constant focus. He has trained, packed, and cared for horses while learning from the best.

Over the years, he became certified by renowned trainers like John Lyons and Frank Bell, continuously refining his approach.

In his 50s, Harper discovered what he calls the "simple complexities" of horses, specializing in rehabilitating "problem horses"—work he continues to this day. His philosophy centers on understanding that successful horse relationships are built on leadership and trust.
